Auschwitz Birkenau Tour

What is Auschwitz-Birkenau

Auschwitz Birkenau is the site of the gravest mass murder in the history of humanity. It remains a memorial that can serve everyone as a mirror of the human soul and a prism for looking deep within ourselves. This is the only concentration on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is visited every year by more than a million tourists from around the world.

What should I know about?

Judenrampe near Birkenau

Auschwitz Birkenau concentration camp (German: Konzentrationslager Auschwitz) was a network of concentration and extermination camps built and operated by the Third Reich on the Polish territory annexed by Nazi Germany during World War II. It consisted of Auschwitz I (the base camp); Auschwitz II Birkenau (the extermination camp); Auschwitz III Monowitz (a labor camp for IG Farben factory workers), and 45 satellite camps.

Auschwitz I was first constructed to detain Polish political prisoners, who began to arrive in May 1940. The first extermination of prisoners took place in September 1941, and Auschwitz IIBirkenau became a major site of the Nazi Final Solution to the Jewish question. From early 1942 until late 1944, transport trains delivered Jews to the camps gas chambers from all over German-occupied Europe, where they were killed with the pesticide Zyklon B. At least 1.1 million prisoners died in Auschwitz Birkenau, around 90 percent of them were Jewish.

About the tour...

We are pleased to offer you a private tour of the Auschwitz  Birkenau museum, with pick-up from any place you request (e.g. airport, hotel).

An English speaking driver will take you directly to the starting point of the sightseeing, and provide you with all the necessary advice about the best way to move through the museum, and its general layout.

It takes approximately 1hr and 30 min. to reach Auschwitz Birkenau, therefore our goal is to ensure you the ultimate comfort while traveling in our  air-conditioned cars by also providing TV and Wi-Fi. On the way, you can watch a documentary about Auschwitz-Birkenau if you would like to get an introduction to the day ahead of you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask the English-speaking driver. We can also organize tours  in any other language.

The trip is an individual offer, meaning that the car and the driver are at your disposal, and there are no mixed groups so you can feel comfortable in the company of your choice. This ensures that the tour program can be entirely tailored to your needs and expectations.

You will tour the museum in a group of approximately a dozen other persons, accompanied by a professional guide. You will choose the language of the tour. To ensure that you do not miss any important facts, audio guides are available too.

There are two parts of the tour you will spend about 2hrs 30mins in the Auschwitz Museum and after that, our driver will give you a lift to Birkenau, where the tour will continue with the same guide for approx. 1hr 30min.

While you explore, the driver will be waiting patiently in the parking area.

Once the first part of the tour is complete, you will be taken to the second part of the Auschwitz Birkenau museum to continue the tour with the same guide.

After the sightseeing, you will be driven back to the hotel, or any other place of your request.

The duration of the trip can be extended or shortened, at your discretion.

To make this offer even more attractive we would like to suggest combinning the trip to the Auschwitz Birkenau with a visit to other popular touristic spots of the region e.g. The Wieliczka Salt Mine, The Black Madonna of Częstochowa, or any other destination mentioned in our offer.

We will negotiate the price if you would like to choose another destination.

Within the framework of the existing offer, you can also book an individual tour with a private guide or visit the museum by yourself, with the guide book provided by the driver.
